Yeah those look pretty slick! I haven’t repainted any AAM models (with one exception), but I am trying to expand my minis collection and use other models, like FoW stuff, with AAM.
I have been trying to build up a variety of units for custom cards and would like to buy any/all of the following in painted or unpainted form:
Pz 4 ausf H (at least one but I’m interested in more) Sherman 76mm ( same as Pz 4’s, and not picky on A1 or A3 type) M4A3E3 Sherman German 7.5cm Infantry gun (to upgrade the AAM piece) British 2 pdr ATG (upgrade the AAM piece)
There are probably more of the things that didn’t get upgraded to 15mm that I’d be interested in, but I’ll leave it at this for now. I am mostly interested in buying, but if there are any specific items from AAM, AAAF, or other board/card/war games that you are looking for, let me know! Thanks!
Unfortunately weather and other random events have delayed this, but now we’re back on track for hopefully this weekend! I have designed a simple scenario using mostly infantry to portray a firefight in the French Alps (3rd-rate Reservist Gebirgsjagers vs French Resistance) in 1944. Inspired by some stuff I read about the area around Vercors. Then I can add in a scenario with more vehicles for their next game. I was hoping to make a short campaign “lite” set of 3-4 scenarios around the Vercors campaign, but it’s tough to make it interesting with the complete lack of armor. Some trucks, maybe a 251 halftrack, and some junk older ATGs or field guns. I might use the Tide of Iron map boards for a more veteran scenario (don’t want to complicate line of sight or add elevation for the new fellers). Might house rule that moving up or down in elevation requires a movement roll, making the mountain troops handy. Restrict vehicles to clear or woods only. Just some ideas. Hard to find sources to research it.
I’m surprised that I haven’t seen a US FO on here yet. Unless I’ve missed it! Anyone ever make one? The rangers are kinda ridiculous and they’re the only canon Spotter that isn’t a vehicle.
They make em! Expensive but worth it. Buy a couple sets though, so you’re sure to have enough. They used to sell em separately (disrupted only, damaged, etc.) but I think they’re all by set now with all marker types. And they sell some nice smoke screen standees that work well for Pz IIIs or for house rule smoke.
Does anyone have any proper scale (15mm) artillery and AT guns that they would be willing to offload? I’m trying to put together AAM stuff in the right scale, and maybe grab a couple that never made it to print (like German 105mm howitzers and such). Thanks!
Just an update that the Guards Infantry guys and 1 Siberian shock troop were just fine. I couldn’t pick em out from the other ones I had. I’m happy with it all!
I’d be happy with an extra Chi-Ha or two! The Jagdpanthers are cool. Guess it all depends what period and theaters each person wants. I admit that an IS or Pershing would have been a sweet treat.
