My wife and I play with our small collection (pretty well one of everything) and I think brittzkrieg and her husband enjoyed playing with us a couple of times now. We are in central MO.
Where are you? We’re in Hermann and I’d be up for meeting up to play games! I do AAAF, AAM, and various hex and counter and board war games. I also run a 1e AD&D campaign.
Ah I see. I wonder if there would be interest in an event in mid-Missouri? I could probably provide event space as President of a local museum, plus I can provide a spot to stay for 4 or 5 people, not to mention that we’re a booming little tourist town with a few other nice and affordable places to stay, not to mention a lot of history and wineries. We have the facility here in Hermann, MO for sure.
Congratulations! They’re rare as hen’s teeth these days. I lucked out on the Gazala map, just need the Solomons one day! Unfortunately I’m no help with the files, so hopefully they turn up for ya
If your Matilda is disrupted during the movement phase due to the minefield, I believe that face up counter is removed in the casualty phase at the end of the first turn. This clears up the problem for turn 2. The wording of that errata is wonky, I think. I would say that the intent is that once your Matilda is disrupted in the movement phase, the minefield has had its effect for the turn and you would not have to roll for the assault phase. I think they were trying to make the obstacle effective during any phase, but that bit is confusing. Ultimately, mines can’t destroy a unit or do anything to them more than disrupt, so even following the logic of the errata, the two face up counters wouldn’t matter/don’t stack. I hope that bit made sense.
As for the hits from the panzer: If your Matilda has only a face-up disruption counter on it, it is suffering the effects of disruption but it actually has no hits on it. Face down counters are hits, face up are status effects. It took me forever to get this. So if the Matilda receives two hits, it is only damaged. If the disruption counter had been face down, then two hits would destroy it.
And yes, the DAK would be subject to the minefield effect.
I hope this helps! Sometimes it’s easier to show than describe in text. If you ever find yourself in mid-Missouri, look me up.
As I understand it, it would be a face down disruption. The Face up disruption counter no longer counts as a “hit”, just a status effect. I’m no expert or anything, but nobody has corrected me yet! Lol
I sent him a message some time ago and never received any response and was just wondering if he was still active/playing/or just doing alright. Thanks!
