Not against the ABC nations, but I think we are forgetting a major combatant of the war that has yet to be represented. While most of it wasn't all that flashy and sunk by 1937, China did have a navy. No need for more than a few cards, but could bring them on par with Siam. Black Sheep Squadron Card would be cool as well. Just my thought, before we start bringing in every non combatant nation, maybe for a few cards for a country that was at war for almost ten years. My two cents.
Navypedia lists 2 Cruisers- Derived from the Yubari 1 Training Cruiser from the same program as Elli A squadron of 300 patrol ships and some MTB's Some Armed merchant-gunboats that operated seaplanes
If we do that can we have the Manchuko navy as well?
The South American triumvirate of "superpowers" was a hot bed of military build up and diplomatic tension for decades. It's as valid to include this "what if?" smaller theatre of war as it is to include any number of "paper only" ships.
Or we can have a 5th Fletcher variant, a 4th Zero variant, another Iowa variant, a Siam fishing boat and a US jet. <note numbers are not accurate>
Tee
You points were definately raised during the set composition discussion Tee. And other options as well. There are simply never enough sets to do the things we want to everyones satisfaction.
I'm talking about the next hypothetical set list. I wasn't aware the next hypothetical set list had reached serious composition discussion.

Yeah, if they were sunk in world war two we probably should make cards for them. The Chinese are an overlooked combatant IMO as well.
Not saying we can't include another Essex class ship and a boat Hitler's friend from high school drew a picture of over lunch mind you.
My "vote" now goes to
1. Get every navy which had a ship sunk in the war respresented. Give them an air unit or two also if they had em.
Im not sure if thats practical though.the entire persian/iranian fleet got taken out by like a sackville. The luftwaffe sank a ship of the line in 1940 (hms wellsely iirc)
Whats the cut off for a class that isnt represented? Fishing and custom cutters? Vessels built to serve on inland waterways?
Each unit has to stand on its merits. It when we have to conjure utility that we get into trouble. Most of the fantasy ships we have are realatively tame in stats-abilities-cost. Especially when 'historical' units are stretched to the limit on a single instance in a whole long career of doing nothing
HMAS Yarra was one of the ships that sank the Persian navy. 2xBabr class sloops speed1 Hull 2 4x gunboats speed 1 Hull 1 The airforce was Gawker Hart bomber 3 6 1 bomb 5? And Gawker Hind fighte 3 6 1 AA5

Thanks,
To me what that says,is that a sister ship to Hms Swale overwhelmed that entire force.
On a practical power scales we are talking about, HMS Swale represent 100+ ships in half a dozen navies because its to weak to use out of scenarios and never had a sister done.
They were designed for australian specifications, only returned because australia was unable to maintain them during the great depression.
The stumbling block is that they were transferred back to the RN and all saw war service. Ive identified 2 ways around this
1. HMAS Oxley- initally serving with the RAN she transferred back to the RN. When war was declared, she was ordered to establish a picket line of norway with her squadron. Having never seen the enemy, she was sunk by hms triton 5 weeks later. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Oxley
2. o-1 RAN designation, leaving the named hms odin as a seperate unit, o-1 would fit with previous RAN submarinea AE-1&2,J1>6 which were ww1 classes.
