I would certainly support another deck similiar to one proposed by Weeds, but I wouldn't want another deck like this one. Sorry for the negativity, and I know a lot of members like these units, but they just don't interest me.

I am sorry to hear that. I personally like this deck much, much more than the last deck. But to each their own.

And this is why it takes a major effort to create a deck list.

You can have anything you want my friend! These are just hypothetical lists. I don't mind those selections at all. The hard part is deciding what to take out.

I probably wouldn't have any trouble swapping them in, but others would undoubtedly have different preferences.

For a straw man:

HMS Diamantina - Yes, she is a museum and ship and you were wonderful enough to take me on a tour of her, but she wasn't commissioned until April of 1945. Not much to go on. Even so, she certainly qualifies. I would swap her in and Warramunga or Athabaskan out.

NZ Corsair - would have to replace the Tarpon IMO. The downside would be a NZ Corsair would not be carrier capable (if we are to follow history even a little.)
NZ Arabutus - would have to replace the British flower class. It seems a bit sad to me that the RN does not have a "native" flower class of her own though. HMS Sunflower was the most successful ASW ship in the entire class. I definitely would not want two Flower class in the same deck. They are too "scenario limited" for me.

Spetsai (Ydra class) DD for Greece. - Well, the RN and the US each have three destroyers so one of them could go. Four for the RN if you count the Flower class. Problem is, I really like all of them. Grom or Albatros/Epervier could get the axe I suppose. I would probably drop the Jervis/Kelly J,K,N-class DD. We already have several of those.

Italia - Operational Littorio, swap it in for Uj202 or Bartolomeo Colleoni coming out I guess.

All I can say is "ugh" to another installation card.

I am especially not keen on ramping up what we did with the Atlantic Wall card. Building fortresses across the map just doesn't make sense to me for a sea game. But that is just me. It is also treading further into game expansion in ways I am personally not comfortable going as a non-game designer professional. But I know some of you are itching to go there.

I had my serious problems with some of the units in the last deck, I know we agree on several of them. I like most of what I see in this deck. What I'm referring to is the minors/neutrals, and I'm not in favor of an over abudance of small naval units. I like the sexy ones. My comments are based on what I understood to be the stated objective of this deck. It is my sincere hope that it will end up close to the earlier decks, but that was not what I understood. If it ends up closer to earlier decks, then I will be pleased.

Its just not play. we have (had?) a very diverse community. So there were people who just collect the units. Getting them all is actual a driver of interest

Some groups play theatre rather than natipn amd encourage the use of minor units. some use minors as proxies for major faction units we dont have
