Just wanted to vouch for Polish Cavalryman as a trader/buyer/seller. We completed numerous successful trades on the old boards. They always went off perfectly. The product arrived on-time and well wrapped. Would trade again if he had stuff for the Land game that I needed.
I have successfully traded dozens of times on the old boards. So I don't know if I am on the good trader boards here or not, but I traded A&A minis actively around 2012-2015.
I have made 1/700 scale planes but keep 1 card, so I have quite a few extra planes for sale/trade but some do not have a card. I also have a few rare ships available as listed. If there are specific common/uncommon ships/subs you might want just let me know, I may have an extra.
Japan N1K1 39/40 (no card) Jill 35/40 x3 A6M2 33/40 (no card) A6M2 49/64 (no card) Betty 53/64 (no card) Betty 5/8 (no card) A6M2 Ruffe x2 Val 52/64 x3 (2 with card) A6M5 33/40 x3 (2 with card) Haguro 7/8 Yamato 38/40 (In bag) Nagato 36/40 (no card?)
USA Dauntless 18/64 Hellcat 19/60 (no card) Devastator 20/64 (no card) F4U1A 16/40 x2 (no cards) F4U1D 11/40 x5 (4 with card) Helldiver 10/40 x3 Wasp 20/40 (In bag)
Germany Bf109 34/60 (no card) Ju87B 37/64 Fw190A x3 (2 with card) Friederich der Grosse 22/39 Moltke 25/40
United Kingdom Swordfish 2/40 x5 (4 with card) Swordfish 14/64 (no card) Martlet 9/40 x4 (3 with card) Sea Hurricane x3 (2 with card) Warspite 16/60
others: French Vindicators, orphan Haruna card, Arkhangelsk 22/40
I can't think of anything I need, unless by some odd chance people have unique maps for the land game or war at sea, or by some miracle people had 1/700 planes. Maybe I could use that big flying boat that Japan has. Otherwise I would accept less $ than what the singles sellers change. On the over of 25% less if I have the card, less than that if I don't have the card.

It was and is! Cpt. Hellcat did a GREAT job. It came down to the very end; it turned out to be a tie actually. On the left flank, after being forced to stop while my Japs stuffed themselves, I was able to break through and get a couple units up to the objective in the NW. Meanwhile, a couple units of the Raiders managed to survive and be adjacent to the objective on the hill. I would play this again in a heartbeat!
Has anybody else tried this out? I have run it twice and it has played very well.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I remember it getting a lot of positive feedback on the original WOTC boards back in the day. Der Leiter was a master scenario writer, and I've tried to add as many here to this Forum as I can. I thought it would be a great alternative for those who still want to play "with the actual pieces", but can't meet because of the pandemic.
That being said, I've never actually gone through and played it. I have contemplated it MANY times, but just never followed through. Might have to do that soon, especially around the President's Day weekend.
The cool thing about this scenario too is, I think with just a little tweaking, the scenario can be used with other units and/or in other WWII theaters.....maybe a city fight for example.
Good eye - I blew up the map moving forward to make it easier to see for the next post. Sent my army to a mod so post yours under a spoiler whenever you are ready!
Hi gents!
So, I can confirm that oaklander sent me a message on July 7 with his army. It looks like you guys are off to a good start, but I'm embarrassed it took me so long to respond.
Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to help. HAVE FUN!!

I wanted to thank CptHellcat for a great time playing this scenario. The outcome was in doubt until the VERY end....literally the last die roll. After being stuck on the left flank moving through the heavy jungle and pigging out on captured U.S. rations, the Japs managed to get a Type-92 HMG and a SNLF Fanatic (aka "Jedi Knight" for you vets!) to the Command Post objective in the upper right of the map, while the U.S. had 4 men around the Hill 123 objective. Our Imperial Sniper, who had been trying to pick off Lt. Col. Edson for almost the entire game, got the headshot on Turn 8. But wait, with his magical "Endurance" SA, Edson had a chance to "come back from the dead" and win the game for the U.S.....except he didn't.
Despite all of us being a little "rusty", we had a great time! We all agreed that it would help to playtest it a few more times. We're looking to switch sides next time. We'll share the results then. In the meantime, this was a wonderful job by CptHellcat!!

Many thanks to CptHellcat for putting this together! It was a blast!! Mike and I played the Japs, while CptHellcat and friends played the U.S. The game is still in question. The Sons of Nippon might yet honor the emperor by clearing the way to Henderson Field. We had to break after 4 turns. Btw....if any of you want to use Roll20 to play on-line games, it was a lot of fun. I don't know how hard it is to set everything up, but from a player's standpoint, it was pretty easy to pickup quickly.
Nice! Invite sent from Roll20. Not sure if you can see all the unit stats by just logging into the game or not. There are icons on the top right - click the Journal icon and all the units are there. I may need to activate or assign them to players for everyone to see them. I'll also be sending more info by e-mail.
Okay, created Roll20 account. How do I get the invite?
