Yeah, and if people start uploading game maps that's gone in a few days...
I never upload online game maps to the forum. People should use photobucket or something external for that. If anyone needs an external place to upload map images to please PM me. I don't have unlimited webspace for picture hosting either, but I have more than I use and what I have is measured in GB.
It's still at ARE YOU READY EDDY - EMERSON LAKE AND PALMER, AFAIAC
Whoops!
It fits if you were replying to a much older post and forgot to refresh the browser
People Get ready - Eva Cassidy
Incidentally it's not a good idea to use all caps in posts - it's perceived as shouting (and if people are using a screen reader it will actually raise the volume - so you will literally be shouting)
Looking over those 21 pages of posts in the old forum, this may be a time to weed things out. Probably find the questions that created the greatest debate or confusion and see if there was a consensus answer. "Simple" questions that can be answered by referring to the rulebook can easily be answered in the future.
Should we look at aggregating a 'new players FAQ' out of that maybe too?

We are working in less solid than other forums here, however that doesn't mean it's all guess work. When you suggest a ship please try to provide as much information on it as possible, namely
Name or Project Name
Year of design or construction
Displacement
Speed
Armament
Belt Armour
Deck Armour
If you wish too, please take that data and try to apply the Forum Mini guidelines to them. (Don't worry if you don't, someone will help) Guidelines - aaminis.myfastforum.org/about4723.html
Categories - These are the only ship types we will be dealing in. If it doesn't fit in one of these, you're probably in the wrong part of the forum.
Planned - Refers to a ship that was planned to be built but never finished. (H-Class Battleship, Montana Class)
Pre War - Refers to a ship that existed at a time before 1939, however was no longer in existence ding WWII (HMAS Australia, Indefatigable class Battleship)
Post War - Refers to a ship that existed after 1945, but was started prior to the end of WWII (USS Midway, Chapayev Class Cruisers)
Pre War Planned - Refers to a ship that was planned to be built prior to 1939, but never finished. (Lyon Class Battleship, G3 Class Battlecruisers)
Post War Planned - Refers to a ship that was planned, but has a hypothetical finished date past the end of WWII (Malta Class)
Have no fear, there are many places on the Internet to find these. Here is a list of some good places to start your research, or to just browse around and find interesting things.
Use Extreme Caution when on the following sites. They are well done and have pretty pictures, but both lack the information so desired and are full of non-historic fiction. Use them as a basing ground for finding interesting things, but not as the only source for your data.
Wolfs Shipyard is a mixture of both authentic designs (good for WaS) and the creators own personal designs (not sutibable for WaS) When looking anything with NW is fair game, anything with OD should stay on that site.
This is basically a fan fiction of history, nearly all aspects of it are pure fiction. Some of the drawings are good, just do not mix their personal creations with authentic plans.
