Just finished Shattered Sword by Jonathan Parshall & Anthony Tully. Those that like granular break-downs of battle analysis might well enjoy it, as it takes the Battle of Midway hour by hour.
Up next, here is a flight of early F4Us from VMF-124. They were flown by Kenneth Walsh (White 13), Bill Johnston (White 14), William Crowe (White 18), and Howard Finn (Black 17).
Up next, here are some Typhoons from 198 Sqn. They were piloted by: John Michael Bryan (TP-C), William Geoffrey Eagle (TP-E), John Niblett (TP-H), and John Robert Baldwin (TP-Z).
For today, here's a flight of one of my earlier repaints, redone with a bit better photo quality. These 109s are from 9./JG54, and were flown by Wilhelm Schilling (1), Friedrich Ungar (6), Emil Hecker (9), and Gerhard Kroll (11).
Unknown but certainly looking for German Vehicles to "Ballisticaly Test" with their cannons. They look quite proficient at their work with that paint scheme, very nice look.
Here I have some IL-2s from the 999th ShAP. Once again, finding matching aircraft proved to be a challenge, so I was glad when I eventually found these in a photo together. However, pilots are all unknown to me.
Up next are some Yak-9s (proxied from Yak-1 minis). They are from the 6th GIAP, and were piloted by: Mikhail Grib (22), Ivan Belozerov (26), Boris Akulov (30), and Vladimir Voronov (31).
