Not sure where to go with US aircraft, was thinking a variant of something or even another allied land based in US service. Surprised we've not had more suggestions for war built US DDs really. Could maybe have had a pre war & a war built. McDermut is standing out in the latter category at the mo. Am I right in thinking we haven't had a four stacker since Edsall?
I like Amatsukazi as a strong varied DD.
Still not sure which R BB for the UK would be best. Ramillies is also an option with cover landing etc. for Ironclad. I've always put Lively & Lance together as they were stable mates, with similar histories and lost around the same time. Lookout also had a busy war but survived, might come down to SA possibilities on these. UK cruisers are interesting as we're still low on Dido's and Town's. Glasgow is standout like Jervis for DDs but will probably suffer as we've just done those two classes.
I pencilled in HMCS Athabaskan with the thinking that a destroyer with a SA that denies destruction lets her contest objectives more so than a standard DD and with no larger options, that might round them out
I'm liking stronghold for the old dd slot to add that class where as v&w have hmas vampire
As it stands now, the three majors have 1 fighter and 1 bomber each.

We already have HMS Ramilles in the Expanded Deck. Any other R Class is fine.
Maybe a night Fighter variant of an existing USA aircraft in the game. Can't think of anything new without the risk of it being OP. (P 47D Thunderbolt being a fine example)
While Town Class are my favorite. Yes to more Dido's, Fiji Class or anything else as they are severely lacking.
What would another Iowa offer?
What about Huron or Iroquois as a candidate instead of Athabaskan? They did take in a few battles sinking or damaging German destroyers, PT boats and auxillaries. Especially night battles.
Small Ship Tactics? Raider, Destroyer Hunter, Radar Fire Control. could be options.
American destroyers. Are there any classes left to fulfill? Also when was the last time we made a Destroyer Escort?
Erwin Rommel - "Give me American supply lines, British planes, German officers and Canadian troops, and I can take over the world".
Yeah, that resolution carried landing boats that carried men ashore is kinda cool. Landing has slightly more interactions than shore support for the same compexity and outcome. Thats why i added it.
Night aircraft are a risky proposition generally speaking, especially if youre talking latewar fighters.
We should have got the last town subclass in the deck G but i'd forgotten that when i put the proposal together and i diverted it.
Swiftsure for a Dido or Arethusa is ok witg me, but will blunt the power of the uk options a little bit.
Parity. IJN's need for a big ship dictates the USN needs a equally cool ship
As i posted earlier, i think a death save SA lets a destroyer contest objectives in a way a gunnery SA wont. Any large DD with applicable history for that is fine by me.
I actually don't think so, the bagley is a bookmark in many ways because of the defective torps SA. At least i guess thats why weeds tipped it
Wasn't sure if we'd done Ramillies. Not much to choose between the other Rs besides the landing craft. Most did convoy duties so guard convoy for a basic load out. Carried gold shipments. How would that work? At the end of the game if this unit is adjacent to a coast or island on side? of the map, score X VPs?
Regarding the three Canadian destroyers, the availability or otherwise of cards in other decks would probably decide where I would vote as not much between them. From the collecting numbers point of view. If it's a close call, that should be considered IMO. Several good units I've always avoided from the seas ablaze deck for example for this reason. Yugure I think was one of them.
I think you were right with the Jean, I don't see it getting much use because of the immediate entry date of the Kate.
Going back to Adventure, could a 1944 D Day version with a landing tender/ability be considered? Otherwise an SA of that type woudn't sit well on a 1939 date. Stronghold would be the best of that type if that's what were looking at. I was thinking before maybe a V&W/Keppel should wait another deck? That way one of the better known u boat battlers from them could be done, if the concern is overlapping with Starling this deck. Could even have then done two ABCs, a new class and a sister. The big problem I'm having is the UK sub situation at the mo.
"That's right son, join the navy. Get behind a bloody big gun and knock the hell out of somebody"
"We went out, got our arses kicked, then came back again"
Just thinking again on Lively, is doing another of the 4 inch sub class like Legion, not likely to totally retire that. I know its not perfect but it does still get used at the mo. Its not in the category of never seeing the table like some but we could end up losing a unit at the same time as adding one.

Brigman has done HMS Revenge and HMS Resolution. Only HMS Royal Sovereign left. Again as you mentioned, convoy duties nothing more.
B4Y Jean a nice cheap early war bomber. I put it in the same pile with A5M Claude and KI 51 Sonia

Went in on weeds recommendation đ€·ââïž
Its not the ship I'm against, just trying to get an idea on what the corrected version of a Legion would look like. No doubt the original Legion card could be modified to fall in line with any updated version (in personal use at least) but is it going to lead to Legion being eclipsed and retired in official use.

Adventure is 39. Dates are not played around with. However a compromise could be found.
I was looking at stronghold yesterday. Do that, vampire does V&Ws and future cards would have the correct (lower) tt values.
Secret cargo!...an option then.
Yeah, that date available to ability/stat thing has always been a bugbear. I wouldn't vote Adventure personally if its just a straight up minelayer, like you said that ability is not a pressing need. That potential '44 SA ability makes it a bit more interesting, especially as its likely the closest thing to an Aux ability were going to get.
