@solo - I think the purpose of a new deck is to learn from what has been done in the past and cautiously push boundaries thus the unique ideas. I'm not saying all of them should stick by any stretch of the imagination, but it will help to keep the game fresh and correct past mistakes. And just for the record, I don't have anything against Fighter Cover 7... at least until something better comes along.
waratsea4 - No I don't think a rearming counter accomplishes that. It just makes it a cap2 carrier with a chance to lose another aircraft that could be safe at the land base with a rearming counter. And which would we utilize Poor Facilities 3 or Limited Facilities, neither of which would be historically accurate?

I agree Poor facilities or Limited Facilities are not Historically accurate with this unit.
IT's a pure game based CAP 2; the tread as you say is trying to push the boundaries of unique ideas;
Like i said CAP 2's are probably the worst use of this games cost to value use or sea based air power; but
rearming a third unit second fighter on a CAP 2 Carrier still gives you more air units in a BUILD than without it.
Choice or worrying about losing an Aircraft Carrier just made the game more fun.
IMO;; it's hard to top SWO's card he did a good job; the only changes i'd make is fighter cover 7 and Expert Torpedo over Bomber.
I think she definitely deserves some sort of 1/2 aircraft capacity SA increase.
Could you accomplish a 1/2 by some tweak to the fly off SA allowing use of the extra squadron. It would need a spot to land off this particular unit unless you delayed its use till a squadron had been lost.

If yes, I'm thinking she's probably 23 or 24. TD with good AA, EF2 and Flag2...she's not quite Essex level - her CAP situation holds her back -- but she's close.
