Hello all - my first posting of some painted stuff in a while. The British battlecruiser fleet:
HMS Hood in the darker 507a worn at the time of her sinking in 1941. I'm happy with how she turned out, though it was tough not to go with a lighter scheme.
Has anyone gone back to Photobucket for picture hosting? I think most of us went to Postimage. Lately, PB has been emailing me frequently about unlimited for $8/month which seems MUCH cheaper than their initial price changes. Just want to see if anyone has gone back and what your experience has been.
I have to admit, I'm think Postimage is hard to beat at this point...
I am still on Postimage. I had to spend a ton of time switching all the images away from Photobucket. And I still have some remaining to be done. I am not going to switch all those back to PB again unless I have to.
IMO, Photobucket has totally self-destructed. I have switched over to postimage for new stuff.
I finished about 80% of Kent last year and finally finished the last 80% yesterday.. There was some sun today so I could get a few clear shots. Kent was the first ship I had painted almost entirely under a magnifier.
For years, my 8-year old daughter has wanted to "paint boats" with me whenever I have my paints out. Yesterday, while I was working on PoW, she did these as a present for me for Easter - in Spring colors, Tosa and Lutzow:
She's getting pretty good and now has quite a collection!
