Well, I found out today to my dismay the Miniature Market, the website from which the majority of my W@S minis originally came from, has no War at Sea products (ships) left besides those from the 2010 base set. Sad day.
I recently downloaded one of Ghukek’s free 3D designs and I was shocked with how nice it came out when I 3D printed it at school. I printed a USS Northampton model and it is equisit. I’ll add an image in a little bit.
Hopefully my War at Sea stuff can make the journey to college with me. As I’m starting down the path of becoming an officer, I hope I can take a few ships to actual sea with me and do some rolling in what little downtime I’ll like have.
It could always be a spiritual successor if copyright did get in the way, an example being the very popular PC game Cold Waters, which is a self-describe spiritual successor to Red Storm Rising.
I sincerely hope that someone picks up a file of the sculpts and reprints the game. It certainly I believe could succeed with the right marketing in the world of today.
Currently working on "Struggle For the Middle Sea" by Vincent P. O'Hara. It's about naval war in the Mediterranean Sea between 1940 and 1945. It is very well organized, and mostly focuses on surface actions through this period.
