Thanks for the response raevski, I think I'll go with what I've got then. If some day the forum does a card I hope it will match up. If not tho, no big deal.
"Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?"
I've got a question about a particular type of ship. I've got the mini and I'd like to get a Reacher base for it but I need some stats. It's the Luftwaffe Seaplane tender Bussard. Here are the real ship's stats...
Launched 1940 Completed 1942 Weight 2040 tons Dimensions 98.3 m x 14.0 m Engines Two 8-cyl diesels, 2 Voith-Schneider propellers, 1800 hp, 12 knots Range, nautical miles 5800 at 12 knots using 230-tons oil, 8800 at 10 knots Armament Three 20mm AA (2 more added later) Catapult equipment One 20-ton crane, One 20-ton Heinkel catapult for Do 18, Do 24 and BV 138, 120 tons aircraft fuel Crew
Okay based on this, I estimate the ships hull values as follows...
1/6/2
Speed 1
AA of what 2?
What do you think? Oh, I'm posting it here because it doesn't look like much is happening on the cards thread.
I'll jump in. I like the idea of damage to specific areas of ship operations. So, lets say a hit affects main guns. Does the damaged ship loose main guns the next turn?

looks great!! where did you get the blue stat chips under the ships? I got one old pack for uK and 1 for Uk, they where incredible expensive. did you make them youself?
Hello and thanks! Those bases are by Reacher. He's in Texas but think he ships overseas. You'll have to ask him. Here's the link. If you look at my gallery and some other galleries you'll see other examples of his work.

Here it is, what I've been working on for some months now. The German Mobile force patterned after the Japanese Kido Butai, the Eingreifsflotte der Kriegsmarine made up of fast capital ships and Flugzeugträger. Enjoy!
Here are some of the individual ships...
I'll be posting more in my gallery.

There have been threads on this in the past, but they may be on the old boards.
The Smooth Fine Detail Plastic is resin. Here's how I prep it:
1. Wash with a soft toothbrush and an oil-cleaning dish soap 2. Sit it in the sunlight (or under a UV lamp if you have one) for several hours; frequently, the resin hasn't fully cured and if you paint before it's done, tiny drops will seep thru your primer/paint 3. I have an ultrasonic scrubber (for jewelry) which I fill with rubbing alcohol; I run my models thru it twice for a total of 3 minutes; this will separate any final remaining wax (used as support during the 3d printing process) from your model 4. Final rinse and dry 5. Prime
Just be careful. SFDP is brittle, so don't drop it and go easy with the brush. It's totally worth it, however, as the detail is amazing!
Happy Holidays!
This is very helpful. Thanks. Interesting use of the ultrasonic scrubber. Hadn't considered that. Do you have a recommendation on a specific unit?

I have a question. After all these years I've purchased a couple of items in Smooth Fine Detail Plastic. I got Roe's 1944 Lexington Battlecruiser and 1925 South Dakota. I have to say they look fantastic. Question tho, how do you go about cleaning and prepping this material for painting? Really feels different to what I've been working with. Any help or tips would be appreciated.
Thanks!
