I keep a spare WaS model of New Jersey on my desk on USS New Jersey. Was too busy today to fidget with it though.
I have to admit, I usually have a mini sitting on my desk. Lately it's been USS Arkansas. Often tho it's a mini I'm working on, or thinking about working on.
"Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?"
I saw a thread like this on another forum that I hang out on and thought it would be a good idea here! The idea is that you may not want to start a new thread but you may want to let everyone know you're still active with War at Sea, even if it's in a small way. SO, what have you done with War at Sea today?
Aside from posting this, I went onto Shapeways and checked out my Holiday order. It's already shipped!
This just proves those bloody fantasy ships ruined the game! How can you have fun pitting a full-on German carrier task force against an Allied task force with equal capabilities?
Oh, wait. Cool.
That was a lot of work! They look fantastic on the table all together. Now to put a ring of Narvik destroyers all around them.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Weeds, I do have the destroyers on my painting table now.

On Monday, April 29, 2019, we will be releasing a new pricing formula for our Smooth and Smoothest Fine Detail Plastic materials. Below is a set of FAQs to help prepare you for the update.
What will my models cost with the new pricing formula?
We have provided a tool for pricing comparison that allows you to download a spreadsheet with your impacted items, with current pricing and new pricing listed side-by-side. Click here to access your CSV download. Please note that you must be logged in to access the download and it may take over a few minutes to finish processing your prices and download. Please be patient as the process completes.
What are the pricing components in the new formula?
The pricing formula is based on the following components, all of which add up to create a custom price for your model:
Material Volume – the amount of material needed to 3D print your product
Support Volume – the amount of support material required to 3D print your product
Number of parts – a part is a piece of a model that can be separated from other pieces of the model
Production – associated production costs including labor, quality control, machine maintenance, general utilities, and other supporting services required to 3D print your product
With this update, models will need to meet the following minimums:
Minimum price per model
$7.50 for Smooth Fine Detail Plastic
$10 for Smoothest Fine Detail Plastic
Minimum price for Parts Bounds Volume*
$0.35 per cm3 for Smooth Fine Detail Plastic
$0.58 per cm3 for Smoothest Fine Detail Plastic
*Parts Bounds Volume is the bounding box volume for each part of a model added together. Models must meet this minimum, which is calculated by multiplying the Parts Bounds Volume by the rate listed above.
Why did you make this change?
We are sensitive to adjusting prices and are aware that this is never easy on customers. However, we do need to make sure that our prices reflect the true cost of doing business and allow us to further invest and innovate in our business.
How can I get in touch if I need help?
You can flag critical issues by reaching out to pricingsupport@shapeways.com.
Sincerely, Shapeways
