Personally just speaking for the game: i have no problem with Cruisers having Limited AWS Threat ; should be some game distinction from what DD's and Cruisers were mainly made for, especially when COST is so close between them. Just because it was done doesn't mean you have to continue. True i can't say what the rules or the creator intended by it, just don't want to see that many choices of cruisers replacing DD's in the game builds for the same cost. AWS threat is a big part of controlling subs lets leave it mainly to the DD's and Planes.
Number 1 we have to be talking a 12 pts.unit or your just wasting time. With the allied SUB forces in the game becoming stronger the Good Luck SA helps with going after them. I understand most players want it all and want what the next guys got. And you may very well get what you want. I'm still a believer with this game, keeping with what Cruisers and Destroyers do best or what they best bring to the table; keeps the game simple, makes builds more unit type oriented and in this case be a little cautious about a unit that can;; threaten subs, attack subs, have a good chance of surviving a sub attack at the cost of a DD with a better defensive line. If you want No limited ASW the team got it right at 13 pts.
