I'd like to play the IJN, and am interested in trying out the map "Savo and Surrounds," but am not really sure how to edit the maps without photobucket.

Ok, thanks. I'm not technologically inept or anything I just never do much photo editing.

I hadn't either, but I was able to do a game using PowerPoint last week and it gave me the confidence to try Keynote on my iPhone. And for whatever reason Keynote was even easier and I am not tied down to a computer.

Maybe you should write an in-depth post describing what you have done. I'm sure many people here would be interested.

It's an iPhone application. You have most of the capability of PowerPoint in a fairly intuitive system assuming you've put together a regular presentation before.
I guess it used to be a pay app but it came pre-installed on my 7.

Found it ... very interesting. I have used PowerPoint to make presentations, but not to make maps or cards. (SWO uses it for his cards!)

Back to the original question ... Club KM (me, the Germans) can take up the challenge and do the maps if you want. I am away from home, and would put the first map up this coming Sunday. I know you want to be the Japanese, we can discuss things like size of fleets, year, cards available, etc. If you have a preference, fine. If not, we can die-roll and see what the dice-gods give us.
The decisions about who is which country, and which map to use have already been made.

I'm still fine with playing the IJN, but I've had a slight change of heart and would really like to give the Americans a try (I really want to use the Iowa class BBs, but I don't really feel like USN vs IJN is balanced in '43, although that is a matter of opinion). Also, I tend to enjoy 300 pt. Games but am open to any suggestions you might have.

Wait, so are you willing to play USN vs me as IJN? I'd still really like to do that.

I was hoping to play the Germans ... but I forgot you were looking for the Americans. My bad. I recommend you put a post in the Club USN thread, with a link here, asking for an opponent. That would work best for you to get what you want. Also, I got too busy to do another battle right now, real life is ... busy!
