I liked it; my opinion at the moment is that War at Sea is a much more strategic game when fought at greater ranges. However, I wanted to ask: why did you setup on the right side of the board? It seems to me that the player who deploys on the left has easy access to the center objective, and, in addition to having easy access to the southern objective, can easily move his surface forces there.

Also, as in our last game, I always appreciate any suggestions on how to improve my fleet!

I didn't want to contest the middle objective, and I thought that having the island in front of me would give better cover for my carriers. I didn't think about how it also gave you 2 avenues of approach to the center objective, though. It's easier to get to the other objectives from my side.
If you're expecting air to come from the opponent, it's a good idea to bring more defensive fighters. Having planes to defend your ships and escort your bombers means one less decision to have to make. But, with Atlantas you don't have to do that necessarily.

I've had a really hard time fitting ample fighter cover into my New Jersey high initiative build. I think part of the problem is that I always like to have a screening force of destroyers.
