Assuming the UK get 1 frigate/DE slot 1 Old Destroyer Slot 1 typical destroyer slot
What are the choices?
HMS Starling for frigate slot. Been talked about since the SeaGod decks inception. Rich history of being the most successful ASW ship in the Royal Navy.
Those old Admiralty or V&W class destroyers that some members have brought up.
An unrepresented class of war time destroyers would be nice. No O&P Class, I Class, R Class, Town destroyer class, U class, Z Class and, many more

I did like TrickiVic's idea of Foresight with defend cripple for a good second sister, unless we do go new class for the fleet DD.
(Still being unsure how any new deck is going to be determined is leaving a bit of a question mark. Voting as before, vote offs? or is this list when finished, likely to make up the bulk?)
Back to the fleet DDs: if I had to rank for a new class, I would put it as O class (Onslow), L class (Lookout), P class (Paladin) otherwise plenty of good sisters (Page 1). Starling is well overdue and should be THE auto pick for the UK. The older DD could be either Keppel or a V&W like Wanderer etc.
Still looks to me the UK is a slot short. With a sub in, it will then come down to either a light cruiser or an auxiliary missing out again. Although an Aux (technicality) choice of either Palomares or Pozarica would serve the purpose of a light AA cruiser, covering both bases. Scylla is a LC option with a maxed out SA suite attractive.
Vote offs?:
New class VS New Class Keppel Vs V&W Palomares/Pozarica VS Scylla Pre war P class sub VS an S or U etc.
Italy is looking the best of the axis for me and agree should get a floating slot or even two! A Gabbiano type with a teamwork SA would be good (Can't think why we didn't do this current deck, instead of the small type(s) we worked through). Not fussed either way on BB identity although the fact another Littorio would have a mini already available, might help. As much as possible, this should be kept in mind. Obviously we started out day 1 with Physical cards & minis, then cards with some minis, now as it stands no physical cards. We don't want to totally end up making units without either a printed card or Wizards mini available!
Struggling to actually fill out the IJN slots a bit but maybe giving them and the US a tender (Seaplane, sub, DD) at the same time could be good. A couple of aircraft types could fill them out and they wouldn't have to worry about being aircraft heavy. I was thinking about DD Kasumi, could this have an escort suite with a twist ie. Carrier escort & Battleship escort. Bit of a niche instead of just giving it Close escort and having to think a bit more with it. If not, then one of. Fleet carrier screening first part of the war and then death ride with Yamato at the end.
Not sure about the Amsterdam liner, seems like a showpiece all over again.
Whats the thinking with 'Reso' and landing barges! Wouldn't go against an R class though. Have we done Ramillies? Can't remember. Could maybe even get a VP SA in for secret gold shipments!

A structure for the new deck hasn't been discussed. At this point, it more a case of a very rough outline of how that deck Might look. I don't personally support any deviation from the norms of previous decks. Theyre the bumpers that keep the silliness away.
In terms of allotments, historically the US is the largest share of cards, and the uk gets equal or, 1 less. They've 8 to the USN9 in the draft list.
Amsterdam is a historical ship, quite large, Viable in a number of allied fleet contexts. I think its a smart inclusion.
Refitted to minelayer, sortied with force z, was release and attack by japanese aircraft on the way, escape. Fought in the dutch east indies, finally sunk by the indian ocean raid.
The Wellington I feel is close enough to a light bomber to be called that, although we made the torpedo version not the ASub version. Honestly, I don't know if another light bomber type would be useful IMO... Sunderland is the best Allied ASub plane, there are decent options all around.... what niche would something new fill??

Points, Years of Availabilty, Historical Rekevance? Personally ch more interested in units with distinct identities than shoehorning more into crowded niches
While I am at work on my lunch. I advocate for the Armstrong Whitworth Whitley Bomber. It would make a nice early cheap Bomber. I first read about it in a FlyPast magazine. Once I get home let me find it and put some information down.

Re: UK aircraft, I would back a cheap early war harassing bomber, Either an Anson or Whitley over a lend lease again. Although I am against 2 aircraft again for the UK. I didn't factor that estimation in when I said the UK was already probably a slot short. A sub is more important than a second aircraft, the UK is already chasing in the sub department. We are being flexible with the deck anyway with trying to get everything into 72 cards, so keeping the UK behind the US again for example shouldn't be set in stone. Potentially three capital ships for the US is pure luxury IMO and still having three slots to spare. Presuming one of them is an Auxiliary, I'd back a second sub or DD. USS Sealion (BB killer), USS Pope (some good potential SA options) USS McDermut (Torpedo salvo etc.).
Whats the thinking with a Flutto type?

USN tender : USS Jamestown; PT boat tender(solomons campaign) - gives torpedo boats concealment from aircraft.
IJN Tender: I15, japanese sub with onboard seaplane. Also refueled flying boat during operation K
Will try and dig others out to throw in with these. Japan could still get a dedicated tender along with the sub. Anybody know any good seaplane tenders?
