HMS Truant UK - Sub 1939 Speed 1 TT 4 3 2 - is this a truculent 1943 value.

HMS Truant had a busy war, fighting all three axis powers within the first three years of conflict. During the Norwegian Campaign she fatally crippled the light cruiser Karlsruhe. In the Mediterranean she sank several vessels over a prolonged period before being sent to the far east to try and disrupt the Japanese invasion areas, again sinking several auxiliaries. Throughout the war she survived several depth charge attacks, which coupled with being one of the few, first batch of T-Class boats to survive the war, earned her a veteran reputation.

Cruiser Killer could work for an SA (although I think that Cruiser Killer affects guns so this would be a new SA for torpedoes unless there's an ability that I'm not aware of)
Edit - Raider Killer (+1 die to torpedo attacks against cruisers and auxiliaries) could work too
The requests in the voting was for a cheap early war T class, to make up somewhat for Triton, which in itself is a point more expensive than was intended. If we go along them lines your probably looking at only one SA to keep that cost down. Something therefore solid and representative. Do we have any sort of veteran ability already or am I getting mixed up with fearless veteran from the land game? We could create something if not. Even evasion would represent it surviving depth charge attacks.
I think Cruiser killer would be more worthy and a cert for Trenchant. That is the one t class elephant in the room at this point and if we ever do another T boat, that has to be a front runner and with Cruiser killer etc. It didn't enter the conversation this time round because it would be an 1944 entry date.

RISKY ATTACK: Once per game, you can declare you're using Risky Attack during the Submarine Attack phase. If you do, this unit rolls one extra attack die when making Torpedo attacks this turn, and until the end of the next turn, this unit gets -1 armor.
Still not sure on any previous veteran ability, still thinking I've seen one somewhere. Probably in someones deck, on a u boat etc. Again not sure what 'evasive' ability I remember seeing!
What about slip away? Could maybe even add auxiliary hunter without bumping the cost too much.

No vet SA in the guidelines, but for the blue on blue
EVADE TORPEDOES: Once per game, when an enemy unit would make a Torpedo attack against this unit, you may roll a die. On a 3 or higher, the Torpedo attack automatically misses instead. This unit can't move during the Sea Movement phase the turn after it uses this ability.
In the same vain as slip away & near miss, run silent would have suited but it's on Truculent.
Trying to think of some ideas for a Veteran ability-
Veteran (Sub?)
-Once per game, if it's turn four or later this unit rolls one extra attack die and ASW attacks against it get -1 on each attack die. You can only use this ability if this unit has already been attacked at least once (*in the game).
-If its turn four or later ASW against this unit get -1 on each attack die. This unit must have been attacked at least once already (*again in the game, not turn) to use this ability.
-During the last turn of the game, this unit gets +1 on each attack die and ASW attacks against it get -1 on each attack die.
