Before answering, consider that one success is equal to about 2000kg to 2500kg of bombs hitting the airfield.
Additionally, 28 successes is what would be expected for a single Kongo class battleship expending about a third of its main battery ammunition on the field (average of 3x 14d6), and assuming a third of the shells going down range actually hit important things on land, that means about 80-90x 14" rounds crater the field and blow up associated facilities in such a bombardment.

Also, a noteable incident in the real timeline was that on October 13-14th, 1942, Kongo and Haruna bombarded Henderson field, each expended somewhere between one half and two thirds of their main battery ammunition (and I believe a portion of their 6" secondary battery, based on a book that I don't have on me at the moment), and this was said to have nearly destroyed the field, leaving it open to more bombardments the following nights. This would be roughly equivalent to about 128 successes if I'm right about the secondary batteries being used and about 85 successes if it is in fact just the 14" guns.
