If there's anyone who'd like to play and see if this is any good, please say so. If possible, I'll try to act as a sort of umpire (to see if the rules I wrote make any sense to anyone other than myself).
If you find anything confusing or which needs clarification of any sort, please write that in the other thread (I have a bit of a convoluted writing style, so it's entirely possible that I made it hard to read at points).
Very epic, sorry that I haven't responded (been away from home). Just thought to check this now. I'll wait for when I'm home to proceed, but in the event we don't have a second player volunteer, I'll play it with you.
I have returned, this will be the last call for a second player to join in (which would be ideal, as I'd like to take an objective perspective on it as possible).
I'll make a post starting the campaign later today.
Do you have any preference for which side you're on or would you like to roll for it?
Hi, sorry for my late response. It has been a tiring week. I'll roll for it, both sides are interesting to play. I hope a third person decides to show up after we get this rolling.
It is your baby, I'll let you roll to see which side I get.
Alright, just before we get started here’s what we’ll do to translate the rules into online form.
Refer to each force by its highest level ship, as per the rules. For example, refer to a force with cruisers as CruDiv (number)
During a purchase phase, write this, followed by a spoiler text which includes all units, and the number of points remaining now that they have been purchased.
During the movement phase, use a spoiler text which contains the movement of the units sector by sector (such as E17 -> F18 -> F19) and your point total after removing the fuel cost.
Submarines (put this on your purchases and movements regardless of whether you have them, as to make it "secret" as the rules would have it over the board)
Q31 -> P31 -> O31 Air group does not launch (Formation with Enterprise and Atlanta at center; with Gwin, Salt Lake City, Bagley, and Smith in what would correspond to the 9, 11, 1, and 3 o’clock positions around Enterprise, where the bow is 12 o’clock)
(Formation with Somers and Canberra leading, followed by San Francisco and Australia, followed by New Orleans and Phelps. Bagley is 1 sector ahead and port of Canberra and Somers, with Sterret in the opposite position)
(Simple line formation, 1 PT boat and 1 Liberty at the front and back, 2 middle sectors with 2 liberties each, placed 2 sectors behind CruDiv1, which is currently in the same area)
