The acoustic torps weren't exclusively used against sub, more subs were all the KM really had left by the time of its introduction.
Just drop the torp i guess.
Ive never used that sa. I dont think its got much value
The navy had a lot of PBY4-1s in the Pacific and never attacked a ship with them. Rarely a sub for that matter. The Japanese just didn't provide many targets by then. But on that note, it's not like the Allies need the extra punch in the game either.
I agree I have only seen Pinpointer used a few times, but it definitely fits the operational description of maritime use of Liberators and it wouldn't affect the cost so why not just for the flavor?

I think ASW Pinpointer is good add. Drop the torpedoes, but keep cost.
Yeah, that is what we did. But mnnorthstars still thinks it should have Hi-Level bomber because statistically it is better than the 8 bomb with Hi-Level on the US Liberator. The GR Liberator should have a worse bomb attack with half the bomb load.
I guess the other solution would be to reduce the bomb attack to 4. That makes sense since the bomb load on the GR was halved to make room for an additional fuel tank.
Updated. I looked up the recommended bomb values in the stats page and 2,700 lbs for a Patrol Bomber is clearly a Bomb 5. We have reined this one in by dropping the torpedo attack and dropping down to Light Defensive Armament and brought the cost up from 6 to 7. I think this should be enough. It is a beast the first turn of the game, but after that it cools off a little. Its not the bomb value that worries me. I don't think there is enough appreciation for how powerful an ASW 4 attack the first two turns from an aircraft is going to be. It's not like a destroyer because it can put itself on the target every time.
