I have been working on adapting a campaign system to my miniature collection (which by comparison to some of y'all is quite small), and playing some more games online and in person (though omicron has thrown the latter into disarray for the time being :/
I have also just finished a fair amount of travelling, and am looking forward to getting back to Mighty Midgets.

I am hoping to be able to play some games again. I have been waffling on selling my collection, because there have been so few opportunities to play with it. Add to that that pandemic-induced board game buying frenzy, and I have more games to play than a mere mortal should!
Those who don't remember their history are bound to do something or other...
I am getting a house this year (happy new year) and will have a room for all my hobbies.
My own mancave.
I hope to get Deck F soon along with a whole bunch of miniatures from Shapeways. (Big spending spree) Also get Brigman & SWO Daddy's Combined Ops deck whenever they release it.
I also want to game with my friends again once I get my own place. My parents have forbidden me from inviting friends over out of fear of Covid 19.
My War at Sea Instagram page hit 125 followers last month. Hopeful it can still grow and that I can expand new ideas on the page.

Someone on here had dabbled in mentioning purchasing the rights to WAS. I hope for some sort of reboot or at the very least a comparable game/scale that isn't Victory at Sea. There is definitely interest in WAS and other similar games, someone out there will capitalize on it.

Yo I would love to see this Instagram.
I'm looking forward to the new deck (and the old ones, I'm sort of new here and would like to grab them) and the little campaign thing that I'm (slowly) developing.
I've also been thinking about getting some sort of camera that can do time lapses so, I'm hoping that this year I can post some battle reports to Youtube.

Yeah Victory at Sea really doesn't seem as interesting to me. In particular that it doesn't allow for as large fleets without spending a ton and it has fewer ship options.

Really, cool. It's under admiral_tricki_vic
I use to do battle reports on YouTube, but was very lengthy process and the format was never to my liking.
Writing up AARs on IG is more fun.

It will be a case of sorting the new deck out when I get it and making any cost alterations into my own setup. Then jumping back into the large bunch I've got to paint. I halted this again last year after a slightly mixed re-entry experience(previously mentioned), that after a hiatus, but will need pieces for the cards!
I haven't played for a while either. I spent most of lockdown scouring for reading material to add to my collection. Its amazing how much has been written about WW2 at sea. I have bought steadily for years but with the extra bit of time, managed to scour for the less common publications and ended up, with the additional regular ospreys, in triple figures! I've had titles coming in from AUS, CAN, NZ, & US pretty regular but most from within. It's amazing how much has been written by/about the royal navy in particular, a lot of personal memoirs. A detailed search of the IWM back catalogue must have produced a quarter of these alone, most I'd not seen before. I'm well stocked on all the allies, just a pity more from the axis is not available. I have a soft spot for POW stories too, particularly naval and obscure. Just coming off the back off half dozen RN sub POW escape stories in Italy. I try stick to a theme for a while for continuity. I generally have less interest in the more famous Burma railway and others similar if no naval aspect is present. Its amazing how scattered the crews of POW, Repulse, Perth and others became. Some got back, some ended up miles apart in captivity. Others like Exeter & Houston managed to stick together a bit more.
I wish there was some sort of publication master database somewhere for easier access, all these stories need to be remembered.
In my personal life I'm looking forward to dating again (got divorced last February, unfortunately) and advancing my career to new highs, but that's not important.
Ideally, I'd love to find some people in New England that still play. It's been so long since I've gotten my minis out of the box and I'd love a chance to see them in action again. Play by post is fun, but there's something special about facing off against someone in real life.
The man who gets beat down isn't the loser. The guy who can't tough it out to the end, he's the one who loses.

If you don't have the previous Forumini decks you can order them from me. Just send me a PM.
