1. No nation that was not actually a belligerent should ever have been included. This is War at Sea, not Rust at Home.
2. No nation that didn't operationally deploy its own independent task forces built around carriers or capital ships should have been included, with the exception of Commonwealth forces which were formally subordinate to the RN anyway.
China was a pretty important in ww2 maybe not big 7 but i would say the most underrated. Their surface fleet was almost entirely sunk by the Japanese as well.
Because it was 3 weak light cruisers and assorted tugboats and trawlers. No subs, no destroyers no dedicated naval air arm. China was a major land power but her naval defence was provided by europeans

China's contribution was not being completely overrun before the US and USSR beat Japan. China was an important participant, but to call it a "power" would be a stretch.
Of course, when you get right down to it, Britain's role in the war was a glorified version of this, and their true lasting contribution was providing the US with a nice place to stockpile materiel and personnel for the invasion of NW Europe, and they were definitely a power.

Yes but i mean that they saw action as opposed to some nations in the game that didn't. The more I hear them discussed the more I want them to get represented lol.

To make Ning Hai name her Ioshima under Japanese flag on the front and with blue and red strip. On the back with the flavor text put the name Ning Hai with the Chinese jack.

Would it be okay to expand the focus of the game to include the Second sino Japanese war which was an important precursor to ww2?
Maybe even include the Spanish BB's lost in the civil war . While not falling directly under 1939-1945 the importance of these conflicts can't be understated and being on deck 6 and having a wide range of fantasy already included would it really be that bizarre to include units that were involved in conflict only a few years prior? It's no more fantasy to ask what if they survived then it is to play an Italian axis unit sunk in 1940 as an allied unit in 1945.
I think it would be really neat to see China represented as a nation with their couple cruisers and a small unit or 2 (eventually), this thread rather organically seemed to spur a lot of interest in China which you can clearly see in the voting.
My objection would be if it was just too add a nation.
Did she have some real historical significance? What battle/s was she actively engaged in, what unique design aspect does she did she have? Or what type ofship ie "protected cruiser" does she represtent.

Ning Hai was based on the experimental Japanese cruiser Yūbari, which combined a small size with heavy weaponry, but in an even smaller displacement of only 2,526 t (2,486 long tons). She became the flagship of the ROCN.
As one of the more powerful surface combatants within the small ROCN, following the start of the Second Sino-Japanese War, Ning Hai was a target of the Imperial Japanese Navy since the Battle of Shanghai, but it was not until 23 September, during the Japanese assault on Kiangyin Fortress (which guarded a segment of Yangtze River near Nanking), that Ning Hai came under severe attack by Japanese bombers, sustaining four bomb hits while Ping Hai was hit by eight bombs and sunk. Ning Hai escaped but on 25 September when Yokosuka B3Y1 torpedo bombers scored two direct hits, sinking her in shallow water. These airstrikes were launched from both the aircraft carrier Kaga and airfields around Japanese-occupied Shanghai.
Later was reconstructed as the japanese escort ship ioshima and sunk by a submarine in 1944.
At 2500t flagship. Yubari is 10 points. Making her 7-8 points. Sounds like she was essentially sunk without a fight.
Flipping nations is a non-starter. We can even use german built stukas on the GZ cause they have a romanian roundel.
These are exactly the units that frak with the mechanics. They got no real game value but we try anyway.
No SA vanilla ship id ride with, corner shelf like weeds says as a single chinese slot and walk away, do a p-40b flying tiger if you must do another unit for the chinese theatre
