I received what looks to be an excellent book on the wartime service of the HMCS Haida and a few of the WAS ships to recreate some of the action found inside. Also, a very nice letter detailing the sender's association with the ship and their ultimate decision to join the Army instead of the Navy ( a very astute choice if you ask me!). A thoughtful gift and one I look forward to spending some time with.
The distribution in most of the North Africa cases was not entirely random. There was generally two different case load-outs, one with all of the axis rares and two random allied rares and one with all allied rares and two random axis rares. Looks like you got the axis pack. It kind of sucked for people that bought two cases hoping for a complete set and got two of all the rares of one side or the other, but it seems to be working to get most of your wants.
I think I currently have over 30 US Bazookas if you count my tradelist and extras pile. These seem to show up by the handful with every deal I make and they are almost impossible to get rid of in any quantity.
Ah man, are the MIG's really that worthless? Where did you find Eastern front stuff, the one case I've seen listed on EBAY is asking $510.
Not worthless, just have other plans for them and did not put down a price. If someone was interested I would listen, but not too many people want the small scale planes anymore.
The Eastern Front stuff came from an eBay deal where I was not quite sure of everything in the picture. From what I could identify, I knew I would get my cost back, so I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised to find a decent selection of EF and EW Rare minis. Luckily it was not from China !
Now that is one way to boost your post count on this forum.
Overall, I was surprised with the case distribution on the Early War boosters. Four rare repeats seems awfully high. That being said, I was actually pretty pleased with this case as a whole. The Counter Offensive started off good but never really got going. Missed on some of the big sexies like the KV-2 and most of the rares were just kind of average.
