These Vals (Aichi D3As) are 3D prints from Dobbies Hobbies (www.dobbieshobbies.net/), the web store of Andrew Dobson here in Ontario. I did one as a test subject and decided I needed two more. My earlier efforts led to panel lines that were too dark, so I repainted the test aircraft lines and went to a softer grey for the other two. These are not attributed to any particular pilots -- I just wanted Japanese bombers for a scenario.

Firehouse and I played a homebrew scenario of War at Sea today, by phone since we live 2.5 hours drive apart. The Rumble in the Med saw an encounter between a Royal Naval grouping of a carrier, a BB, two cruisers, three destroyers, two subs and three aircraft, up against a Regia Marina group of a carrier, BB, two cruisers, four destroyers, two subs and three aircraft. Each side at 150 points. Each side had some interesting SAs. I skippered the RN and Firehouse had the Regia Marina. We played five turns, with Lady Fortune pushing us one way, then the other. Both forces kept their carriers well back from the action, but the rest of the fleets plunged headlong into the encounter. The RN was terrified of the Ju87 but should have paid more attention to the Re.2001, which could choose to be a fighter or a bomber. The photo shows the final disposition. By the end of the fifth turn, I was down to the HMS Warspite with a point of damage against it, one unblooded submarine, the HMS Illustrious (out of view) and two aircraft. Dave's Guiseppe Garibaldi and Andrea Doria were both crippled, but he had his Aquila, one aircraft and one "destroyer", the Antilope. I was ahead on points and we called it. Totally fun to play remotely. I recommend remote gaming if you can't meet face-to-face. The only downside is that we can't share a beverage and review the game, turn by turn...

Greetings, I am offloading the WAS units that I have rarely played, principally in the Pacific theatre. My original IJN list has been dramatically shortened, so I have added the USN. Prices are in US dollars. I checked the online sellers and picked the lowest price, then cut that. If you purchase more than $50 USD in units, I toss in one or more of the units priced at $2 or less. I'm shipping from Canada, so shipping within Canada or to the U.S. is not onerous. Shipments to Europe will be costly. On a large order, I will pay the insurance cost. Some of these minis are cardless: generally, I photocopy a card for it and generally, we can negotiate a lesser price for the minis with photocopied cards. Thanks to those who continue to reduce the lists.

The Stat Card Exchange has all the missing cards you need, save the Proteus. There are only six of them. Read the protocols for the Exchange: If you have original WOTC cards to exchange, I mail to you and you mail to me. Easy. If you don't have cards to exchange, I have been accepting funds for cards, which offsets my postage costs for mailing them out. Expansion and Fan Deck cards are usually $1 and the original War At Sea cards are $2. So for the cards you want, $10. I'd prefer to get original WAS cards, as many gamers/collectors do not want the Sea Gods and Fan Deck cards, and the WASS cards are being drained away. But no problem either way... I will check my units -- surprisingly, I have noticed that I seem to have a number of doubles w/o cards. How did that happen?
