Got a game of tabletop play in. 4 players. Yet another victim, I mean recruit, lured in from my Star Trek Attack Wing crowd...
French vs. Italians. 2x Folgore Ace, 2x Expeditionary Saetta, 1x Saetta Rookie vs. 2x D.530 Ace, 2x MS.406 Veterans and 1x MS.406 Rookie. Fun and pretty well balanced. The Italians ended up chasing the French back to their Eiffel Tower (this time!)...
Ah, cool. Except the outcome wasn't what I hoped for.
It's always fun to see the planes out on the table. I think with the planes themselves, the poseable flight stands, and the maps, Angels 20 is by far the coolest-looking of the games. I haven't seen or taken a picture that wasn't of an "oh, that's cool" moment.
I also laminated all my maps and they are very durable. I store them flat in an artist portfolio and transport them rolled in a cardboard tube. Works great.
Sounds like a balanced game. That is something that I like about the air game is the ability to balance forces.
