Hey Everyone! Good to see there are some familiar faces over on this side of the Forums. I've been away for quite some time as I had gotten out of the game again. Sadly, I had to sell my complete collection to pay for some child care expenses since the birth of my awesome son two years ago! While the cash helped at that time, the bug has returned to get into this game again! Things are much more stable now, at least as stable as they can be with a toddler. I'm pretty excited about introducing him to this game after taking on a trip to tour the USS Iowa here in LA...several years from now of course.
I wanted to say that I'm very glad to see that there is still an active community! The bug came back to me after seeing some folks playing it at GenCon. I miss it. I signed up for the new site a few days later and here I am! I finally got some time to look things over and peruse what the market was doing...clearly it went up!
I see there is still a pretty high barrier to entry. I'm going to have to be more selective this time around. I have no delusions about obtaining 5 complete sets again!
The market place is a little quiet, did a lot of people not make the switch over?
Is everyone still chasing San Francisco and Graf Z? Or are there new chase pieces?
Is eBay the primary market now, as opposed to this Marketplace?
Do I owe anyone money?? I think I owe BoomerBill $5 when I tried to get into AAAF. Sorry about that.
Thanks for keeping everything going. I definitely have a lot of work to do to get back into this. Already Ordered a new 2010 Starter Set.
