Wanted to get back into the air side of the game for a while now. I scored a case of A20 and a starter for 88 USD delivered, so I could not help myself. Here are the booster breakdowns:
Booster 1- C200 Setta, Hurricane MK1, 1-16 Abu
Booster 2- Kosciuszko, BF109G, FW190A
Booster 3- BF109E, KI-61 Tony, 1-16 Ishak
Booster 4- Zero Ace, C202 Folgore, Yak Rookie
Booster 5- BF109F, P-40B, Typhoon
Booster 6- Typhoon, P-51B, USMC F4F4
Booster 7- Gaurds Yak, Spitfire MK1, MS 406
Booster 8- Flying Tiger, Zeke, CF F190A
Not too bad. Was hoping to get a P-51C. Guess I should of gotten one from Boomer Bill when he offered
Wow, that's a pretty decent lineup. The I-16s are neat little aircraft -- not killers, but amusing to put on the table. With the Guards Yak, the Yak Rookie and the Ishak, you have some Eastern Front action. With the Abu, the Flying Tiger and the Wildcat, you have some Pacific action. And with the Italians, Germans, Brits and Yanks, you have pretty much Europe and the Med covered. Should be a lot of fun to play.
Those who don't remember their history are bound to do something or other...
I totally agree. That's a nice pull of Angels. WotC went easy on you in spilling the starter planes; at least you got a nice spread of them.
In addition to Boomer's comments, the Tony is the best craft in this set for the Japanese. The I-16s may not be the most effective of planes, at least they're cheap. You can position them as bait, and every now and then, they'll surprise you by actually hurting an opponent Have fun!

Completely agree. The "2 hull" on the Zero is a significant handicap on an otherwise solid fighter. The Tony's relative durability and friendly price tag (you can get three of them in a 100 point build) make it a very good choice in competitive games.

I was able to get three Tony's. Boomer Bill and Miniature Market helped with that.
