[NOTE: This is part of the continuing effort to migrate as many scenarios as possible from the original Forum to the new one. Any assistance or feedback is always welcome!]

British Recon Patrol
Somewhere in Normandy - June 24, 1944
Adapted from Armchair General- May 2010
The Neberlwerfer batteries are reigning havoc on your friends. Prior to Operation Epsom, a patrol has been sent behind enemy lines to find the location of the battery, pinpoint its location and if possible destroy it. As the British Patrol makes is way into the area and spots the battery, a half track is seen on the horizon.
Coming in to tow the rocket launcher away, the Brit Patrol has to act fast.
Map 2 - Number in the upper left corner, which is the NW Corner
Setup - Germans deploy first. The Nebelwerfer deploys on the single large hill hex. German MG42, and Mauser Kar 98s deploy in the Triple Small Hill Hex adjacent to the Nebelwerfer.
Halftrack (with mounteed grenadier) enters from the east edge of the map at the start of the movement phase on Turn 1.
British Patrol deploys up to two hexes in on the south edge of the map.
German Artillery Squad
SDKFz 251 Half Track
Panzergrenadier
MG42
Mauser Kar 98 X2
Nebelwerfer
British Patrol
Inspiring Lieutenant
SMLE No 4 X5
Bren Gunner
Sten Gun
Darkness:
Since it is night time, units on the map can only see up to two hexes away across clear terrain. In a hill or forest hex, the units must be adjacent to see one another. There is no defensive fire if moving adjacent through a forest or hill hex.
Special Rules:
The Half track gains towing and can move into the Nebelwerfer's hex in the movement phase, and load the rocket laucher.
Victory Conditions:
Germany - The Half Track must hook up to and tow the Nebelwerfer off the east edge of the map.
British Patrol - The patrol must assault the Nebelwerfer and destroy it before the Germans can relocate it to a better firing position.
Another short scenario for a quick fun light game.
