As much as I would hate to shoot down a Red Cross marked aircraft, you know that it happened. Here's a Gustav in the background, taking aim at a Shavrov SH-2 from De Agostini. The model purports to be 1/110 scale, but it looks a lot more fragile and smaller than that.
Apparently, it could carry two crew members and one passenger. It was popular with pilots, and examples were still flying in the 1960s. With a top speed of only 140 km/h, you wonder if it was another aircraft that was just plain hard to hit for modern fighters.
Those who don't remember their history are bound to do something or other...
