Made a very cheap forward airstrip on an island, for the ships to fight over.
It was very cheap to make, just a hunk of styrofoam I got from a package that I shaped with a hot wire cutter. Slapped some drywall filler on it to give it texture and seal the styrofoam, primed and painted, then used some grit for the beaches and DIY clump foliage for the forest. I’m considering either making some small buildings out of scrap, or looking into 2mm scenery for hanger bits, that I might add later on to give more detail.
Looks really good. Keep us updated on the progress. On Instagram there are quite a number of people I find have fictional military bases with fictional storylines of wars, military exercises and day to day activities. I been kinda doing it and want to create dockyards but I don't even know how I would scale that stuff to War at Sea mins.
