Tank destroyers in my group are often used as a cheaper alternative to the heavier tanks. Germany especially has many good tank destroyers in the 20-30 pt range. What are the best ways to exploit the weaknesses of a German build with 2 of these tank destroyers and the rest being assorted infantry and maybe a stuka. (In case you can’t tell I’m stumped lol 😆)
USSR has the SU-85 to match the StuG IIIG, SU-76 can do damage also. T34's are always workable. The Russian ATG's are good as well.
US/UK have some decent choices too. 17pdr ATG can work if you use ATG's at all. The 6pdr & the Entrenched ATG are effective at times. The M-10/M18/M-36 TD's for the US can hurt with "Flanking Attack" and the M-18 Hellcat/GMC has "Strike & Fade 1" even. Ambush with Bazooka teams if possible/when possible.
Machine guns & infantry for the German infantry & perhaps a Quad .50 or for real sporting fun, a BOFORS for the Stuka & other assorted soft targets in it's Long Range of 5-10 or the Quad's Double Shot.
The Formations are a good base for your infantry contingent & ya gotta have the foot sloggers & some Artillery can help too.

Indirect fire artillery is always a favorite of mine 😊, I thought of using antitank guns to oppose the Tank destroyers but was worried that they might not be mobile enough but I could always use trucks to move them along.
Initial placement can also sometimes "Channel" the TD's to where you have good coverage & sufficient shots to deal with the opposing targets. Good use of Combined Arms can be fun & effective...dice permitting...lol

I typically use the soviets but I have been in a funk lately with my tanks having no luck against the tank destroyers, causing me to experiment more with less tank heavy builds not just to work against the Germans but to give me a better idea of the way the units mesh.
The Germans do have some brutes for TD's for sure. Figure you can get 2x ATG's usually for the cost of a TD, sometimes 3x for a couple points more than the TD. Infantry to protect & possibly "Close Assault" a Disrupted/Damaged vehicle. The ATR is even usable if you can get close enough & a rear target shot. The 76.2mm ATG also has decent AI numbers @ 5-8 hexes, range 10 vs vehicles, the 57mm is good, used in pairs mutually covering & a nice field of fire.
If you can do online maps & games, we can always explore different strategies if you like.
Compare dates. Experiment teams with these tank destroyers, always with one point of front defense above the Germans and some points to invest in others preferences (infantry and command). T-34 & KV-1 take the role of anti tank and anti infantry since 1941.

Use an all infantry build with good close assault values. Charge them and get into their hex and close assault their rear defense. Tank Destroyers, especially German ones, tend to suck hard against infantry.
