I like doing AAAF repaints. And I like seeing other gamers getting excited about A&A minis, particularly the AAAF minis.
So I thought I'd steal a page from Weedsrock2's book and offer a repainted AAAF mini for the membership. This is a totally free mini, shipped to you with a standard flight stand and a copy of the Spitfire Interceptor card from Bandits High. This draw is open to everyone on the Forum as of today's date (March 15, 2023) and the time that this was posted. No other restrictions on entry, except that if I do this again, the winner of this first draw will not be eligible to participate.
The prize is Spitfire T-L of Pilot Officer George "Buzz" Beurling, variously known as the "Falcon of Malta" and the "Knight of Malta" who shot down 27 Axis aircraft in 14 days over Malta in 1942. Although Beurling was known as "Screwball" during his Malta service, the nickname "Buzz" is the one that stuck. This aircraft is an Angels 20 Spitfire Mk I Ace repainted and modified by me, and is painted on the upper surfaces in a blue-grey colour — the paint scheme for the so-called blue Spitfires that are still discussed over beverages.
Just post to this thread:
"Let's get some Buzz going." before Monday, April 3, 2023, 8 p.m. Canadian Eastern Time (same as U.S. Eastern Time, just colder). I will compile the list in order of posting, and then roll for the winner on Wednesday, April 5, around 9 p.m. Eastern Time. If the prize is not claimed within two weeks of the drawing I will roll the die again from the same list of participants.
Here are photos from the front and the right side.
Those who don't remember their history are bound to do something or other...
