The only Japanese aircraft downed by a Canadian in North America was a Rufe, brought down in the Aleutians. I always wanted to find a source for a Rufe, and came up with this somewhat generic IJN floatplane (Thanks to Rockhaven of eBay; aka Dobbies Hobbies on Facebook), which I have painted in the likely green of aircraft in that theatre, and the controversial purple/mauve/lilac scheme that was the box art for a Rufe model in the 1960s. I built that lilac Rufe when I was a kid and am happy to do another one, even though the knowledge-keepers on the cyberverse believe the reports of a purple Rufe were just bad lighting and paint wear. I believe that AAAF is a game, and since play is intrinsic to games, let's play... Rufe performance was viewed very favourably by Allied pilots, so I am thinking that some small adjustments to the A6M2 Zeke Stat Card would be all that is necessary to put this on the table. So, Speed 2-3 and Hi Speed 4 (not 5); same attack values (7/4/2); Same Armor/Vital/Hits (2/5/2); reduce Turn to 5, Climb to 4 and increase Dive to 4. Your thoughts on this are welcome.

They’re looking good! I can’t argue with your stats. Any SAs?
I hadn't thought about SAs, or the pilot ability. I would tend to go with Veteran. The Rufes in the Aleutians held their own in aerial combat, even shooting down P-38s, although their slower speed meant they were better at defending against bombing raids, assuming they could catch them. SAs? Allied pilots said it was very manoeuvrable for a float plane, so Expert Dogfighter or Expert Evasion. Because its primary role was to attack bombers, possibly Bomber Killer.
What are your thoughts?

They look great. I have a Ruff (AIM) and have used it before but I can't seem to locate the card. I will keep looking. 12-7-gamer- I sent a pic to your text since i don't know how to add pic on the forum yet.
