I've been a D&D (among other RPGs) dice chucker for approximately 35 years as well. I don't have any favorite D&D editions but played 2nd, 3.5, and 5th the most.
I am a sucker for World of Grey Hawk and the world of the 2nd Edition Gazetteers.
It was in the '80's that some friends & I dabbled in the RPG world. We played one called "Traveler", a future based game with space travel etc. It was fun but as an old guy from last century, I think the minis are my favorite having come from the Avalon Hill bookcase games & the frustrating stacks of cardboard always getting knocked over, minis don't tip over until KIA...lol
Played a lot of in person D&D in high school and college but gaming group broke apart shortly after that. Since then a big fan of the PC Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 and the Icewind Dale 1 and 2 series and their expansion. Would highly
recommend the Baldur's gate games to anyone who hasn't tried them. Also have some of the adventure board games on my shelf but haven't tried them out.
