There is no mention of Operation MB8 in the flavor text. From what I am reading Ark Royal had a relatively minor part in that operation. In addition, MB8 is a complex of multiple "sub operations" that is way too complex to describe in the room we have on the card. How do we tie the fluff to the name of the card? Is there a different "Operation" we could use for the name?
The card itself seems okay to me

Edit: There is a missing "was" in the middle sentence about Illustrious, but I also noticed that the end of Flak's text was missing (I assume for space reasons?). As such, I am offering an edit that gives the last sentence a little more ourrah.
Dispached on Operation Collar, HMS Ark Royal, largest aircraft carrier in the Royal Navy, provided security for a convoy sailing east to Malta. As she returned to Gibraltar, she also raided the port of Calagari. Along with the raid on Taranto the next night, she would presage the dominance of aircraft carriers. Only two weeks later Ark Royal's aircraft were back in action, preventing the battleship Vittorio Venato decisively influencing the battle of Spartivento.

The issue I have with that version is that it implies ARK Royal was involved in the attack on Taranto. I also couldn't find a reference that indicated Ark Royal really influenced Vittorio. All of the torpedoes missed. Admiral Campioni had already decided he did not have the advantage in forces and was preparing the fleet to leave. I don't want to over-hype the action either. I also just looked up the port name and it is "Cagliari."
How about:
Dispatched on Operation Collar, HMS Ark Royal, largest aircraft carrier in the Royal Navy, provided security for a convoy sailing east to Malta. As she returned to Gibraltar, she also raided the Sardinian port of Cagliari. Along with the raid on Taranto the next night by HMS Illustrious, Ark Royal's operations would presage the dominance of aircraft carriers. Only two weeks later Ark Royal's aircraft were back in action, attacking the battleship Vittorio Veneto during the Battle of Cape Spartivento.
