Just got my first order. For a gaming standard these are pretty darn nice, better than WOTC I would say. I got some in natural full color and some in smooth full color, almost no difference that I can see. I would advise just getting natural full color for the savings. Love your paint job on Tayio!
I bought a few of these recently. Picked up two Freccia destroyers and two Otori torpedo boats. As Squint reported initially, both are a bit faded looking and very grainy..but I"m happy for the cost. Painting the red and white stripes on the Freccia would have been misery.

These are excellent. I am not a painter in any capacity (I have literally 0 experience, though I am going to make an attempt soon) so the quality of these are probably better than anything I can do myself, even if it is not up to what some experienced painters could do or the OG WoTC models. That Saint Louis with the Tricolour on the second turret is so pleasing to my eye. I will probably order some of the smaller boats in the second option to see for myself before moving onto the capital ships.
I just received a Taiyo and it looks just like the photo above. Pretty fuzzy, but very attractive. Certainly fine for gaming IMO. I wonder what would happen if I brushed on a layer of clear gloss and then a layer of matt? It might make the color even dimmer, or it might make it a little brighter by reducing the light diffraction. Or it might make no difference at all. I think I will give it a try the next time I start a new set of miniatures.
Did you ever try the gloss + matte technique to see the result?
