I think those basic stats are right.

In terms of SA, germany has decent range of interceptor fighters. So an "better" escort seems like a viable niche.

From a Gameplay perspective, over a strict historical one. Would be a factory fitted F/B with a notional carrier capability. My previous team colleague will be rolling thier eyes at this point🤣. An armour 5 carrier bomber is basic toolbox option in my opinion and the stuka+SA option is a non-option on that score

I'd support the idea of Ace or similar (Like Elite A6M2), because especially when the G was rolled out it was used heavily and some ace pilots preferred to elect with their 'tried and true' models even after later ones came out.
IIRC there is still debate over whether or not Erich Hartmann actually converted to a K-4 109 or if he kept his modernized G-6AS or a G-10 model.


Gerhard Barkhorn also frequented the G-6 and most likely never used the 190 D-9 in combat, even though his squadron was converting to it when he left. He also never scored a victory in a 262 as he did not find it a very pleasant airframe to fight in.

So I think there is merit to giving "Ace" or similar to the 109G specifically.

KM should be able to deploy a carrier based 3bombers (armour5) with escort attack package.
So yes, im suggesting a carrier F/B.

However, the discussion is leading us elsewhere which is fine

I like the ideas proposed but I'd prefer Advanced Fighter 1 over Ace.

It's already in the 8-9 point range I think, and it probably shouldn't pass 9, seeing as the F6F-3 is 10 points and has Advanced Fighter 2 and armour 7.
