I wish I had known about this one earlier. I think it would have provided the Italians with a pretty decent ASW 3 loitering patrol bomber. As usual for the Italians it is a very sleek looking aircraft.
Oh that's pretty nifty indeed. I like the article that there was a sortie where one of these intercepted a spitfire ferry flight and two spitfires collided and were lost. Very unusual to see something like this airframe used in an offensive role against fighters like that. A very unique aircraft.
Very nice, how did we miss it? I sware I researched everything to build lists for the navies projects
Me too. I found it while looking through scale model kit reviews. When I first saw it I was like, "what is that?" Unfortunately, only a very rare resin kit and an equally obscure injected plastic kit have ever been made. I kind of looks like a B-26 Marauder on floats.

The Italian aircraft choices in the vote were pretty weak too and I think we ended up voting the poorer option of those choices.
I'm mixed views regarding aircraft at this stage. I don't want too many obscure types/variants swamping the allocations and it remains to be seen how this turns out again. Could easily have had one less for the UK and had another strong surface unit instead and reading between the lines on previous posts I have a feeling the US is going to be top heavy in this department after all is revealed. Would it be too much to have say a second US sub (sealion?) instead of a third or fourth aircraft variant?
Just shows as well units are still to be found. This float plane for the hard pressed Italians plus the special aux Olterra which would fill another hole for them. On quick browsing the Leyte Gulf Vol. 2 recent release too I noticed a photo caption of USS Mcdermut describing its torpedo salvo here as the most deadly US surface strike of the war. 1 IJN sunk & 2 more crippled. Was not aware of that and if we do another of that class going forward, this should be in contention.
