Does anyone use Topside Naval miniatures? I am considering getting some and am wondering what people think about the quality.

Had the luxury of building my collection when prices were not that bad and cases were available; so although i looked into Topside; never felt the need. Did sent away for the trial unit; quality seemed nice; thought about using them for bases; but that seemed a waste. Don't know if anyone else has used them one way or the other would be nice to read.
Good quality, nice details and a large selection for a small cost. I'm still toying with the idea of organising a local naval gaming tournament using these, with the cost of the counters worked into the entry price. That way everyone can take his fleet home afterwards.

I have never used them because I got into the game back when it was cheap and I have way too many of the actual models at this point. That said I am not a tactile gamer, the attraction of the game for me is the theme, not sliding good looking prepainted models around a table. In a lot of ways I like the idea of card stock pieces that actually have most of the stats and stuff printed on them better than a good looking miniature and a dissociated card that I have to store somewhere.
I have some and I bought a bunch for a buddy of mine who has a tighter budget than me. They're really nice, light yet sturdy. If you're on a budget or just don't want to spend $80+ for a Kaga, I highly recommend them! Just print out a stat card to go with them and you're golden. They also have a really nice range of aircraft, too!
I contacted them before I placed my order and asked them if they could put the WaS stats on them. For a few $$$ more (for the order, not per base), here's the result:
