Why is Tirpitz 1942 for year of introduction?

Seems to me with all the Expansion going on, it would make for a nice redo;;  operational or not with a 1941 year entry.

 Could make for interesting new ideas;; SA's or Operation's

Overrated;; I believe AA up grade was late 41 before she went to Norway in early 42;; i'd leave AA at 8, just me

A few years ago, we discussed the year vs refit features on ships. Are the AA values too much for 1941? I believe they upgraded the AA on Tirpitz due to the experience between Bismarck and Swordfish.

I’m good with adding it to the errata. If the game designer says he screwed up that’s good enough for me. Besides, who doesn’t want a 1941 Tirpitz.

The RN could have its hands full if this is added to the 1941 Denmark strait breakout!

Depending on how you play and house ruling etc. this is a significant addition to 1941. I might just keep it as is.

I've looked at some of the years of introduction before and depending nation weightings, game balance etc. have pushed several back. Some important/powerful units have years given for introduction even though they came in at the tail end and saw no action till the following. I know one of the newer US BBs(forget which) came in right at the end of 41 and the pre war BBs weren't getting much of a look in even then.
