I'll be honest - I didn't know that rule either! Here's what I propose - to keep the game sporting, let's not hand the Allies a 50 point bonus to start the game. We'll make sure to follow this rule in any future games we play. Given that turns 1-2 are usually movement heavy without as much shooting, I don't think you'll have an unfair advantage with Bismarck undeployed.
How does that sound luke4202? Option 2 is that we can just pick new fleets and pretend this didn't happen. I am comfortable either way!
I suppose Option 3 is to play by this rule, but deploy your cruiser at the beginning of the game (since Secret Breakout allows but doesn't require the cruiser to come along).

Oaklander, I am completely ok with either option and would be stoked to get a chance like that, but you need not be so generous. I am fine with taking the loss and moving on to the next one. My strategy sort of concedes 1 or 2 objectives so no point in playing it out if already down 50 points.
If given the choice, I would like to deploy the cruiser.
You don’t have to put Rhein Bis out of play either. But it’s part of the strategy/meta to go ahead and concede the points knowing how hard it will be to get the remaining points to win. I don’t want to meddle here or say too much, just that what is happening here is a viable way to play - and win.

Never mind lol, I had no idea it was viable. Let’s just let it ride then.
You can also deploy submarines up to the row the objectives are in, but not the objective row. You could put them in row 5 in your case. Your side of the map is also called the Submarine deployment zone.
