Over the years, one of the things I've found frustrating about AAAF is a lack of points granularity in building flights of fighters to conform to a specific point value (say 100, 150, or 200 points). Many times there are aircraft I'd really like to use, but to the use them, I end up with a build that can be as many as 8-10 points disadvantaged to my adversary. I've often thought, "how nice would it be to tweak this plane by a few points, up or down, to make it fit better here". After talking with Brigman quite a bit, I've come up with these two cards to adjust Pilot Quality, up or down, for the cost of 4 points. If you look through the various cards for a given plane type in the game, you'll find 4 points is pretty close for a jump from, say, Average to Veteran in a given plane type (you'll occasionally see slightly higher or lower, but 4 seems to be about the average difference).
These cards are structured to let you pull up Average or Veteran Pilots up to higher Pilot Qualities, and to pull Aces, Vets, and Average Pilots down to lower levels. I didn't want to create an option for Poor pilots to go up to Ace, but I might tweak the card to let a Poor Pilot go up to Average, but no more. Still not sure about that though. My main reason for this is most Poor pilots also tend to come with negative SAs, and it wouldn't make much sense for high quality pilots to have an SA like "Panic".
