Welcome to the game here is some stuff to look at while you wait for your starter and boosters.

First, welcome aboard!

Second, booster packs are very rare now because the game has been out of print for about 6 years. You will need to buy on the singles market. You can buy and trade in our Marketplace subforum, Rivalsky.com sells them of course, you can also buy some from miniaturemarket.com and strikezoneonline.com. They are also widely available on eBay. The big ships are pricey now, but the good/bad news is WotC only did six sets so there isn't as many to get as a lot of random collectible miniature games.

Thanks for the links, I will make sure to try familiarize myself with the basics of deck building before I commit to buying a bunch of singles.

Eventually I would like at least enough for 2 nations with a variety of build for when playing with family/friends. I'm not entirely set on one specific nation yet but I guess I will just see what I get in my first few packs before I commit to any singles. Unless I see something nice and go for an impulse buy while waiting 

I already have had an attempted impulse buy on a listing I seen on eBay. From what I could tell it was 7 shapeways ships along with the cards to match from those forum decks. Unfortunately, with me being a bit rusty on eBay I screwed up my bid and someone else got them. 

I have my eye on a few singles which I will probably commit to once I've received my starter and booster packs.

Yep, I've been having a look through there although I think I will have to convince my father to get back into painting miniatures as he didn't pass down any of his talent.
