But being as the ww2 naval war was a large part of executing the most advanced logistics and supply chain undertaking in human history to help defeat the axis and the importance of Convoys it Would be nice to give Aux's a boost and more interesting gameplay.
Create a new cargo attachment usable by all aux's called cargo some could also be used by cap 1 and 2 carriers like bearn so they could serve their historical purpose as aircraft transport .
But you have various ones ex. Spitfires to malta , supplies to North Africa , lend lease to murmansk etc.
Each of these cargo attachments will have different objectives and different rewards for completing . Rewards that make them worth using unlike the current existing ones whether that is a large amount of victory points ex 50 or advancing a campaign etc . The objectives could be landing on an airfield or island or exiting the map at a certain point . The cargo cards could be secret or known, they could also provide aux's with an additional layer of protection through SA's similar to guard the convoy to make them not so easily destroyed as your escorts would be putting themselves in danger to draw off fire and protect them.
On the old forum I also had an icebreaker scenario/idea.
This could also play into this because you could have an attachment card called icebreaker that would allow certain units to become icebreakers.
It could create a situation which something specific like ice tokens are used or something existing like islands where; moving adjacent to island's or ice would be treated the same as entering a mined sector (unless escorted by an icebreaker) if you wanted an existing mechanic or you could have it where they receive something like a rearming token to represent the extra effort to move through (without an icebreaker) if you wanted it different.
