I have spent two long evenings picking WotC proxies for the new Deck. Pendragon had a few done, but could not finish to the rest. Fortunately, I have a lot of these Shapeways miniatures already so I had them to compare along with looking up similar dimensions/tonnage etc in Conway's. Please review the list and let me know if you think there is a better WotC match or I have missed (or messed up) something. As a reminder, this is just a "suggestions" list for people that do not know their ships and just want a quick guide to picking a proxy. It is not written in stone. At my local club the guys usually use this list, but we don't insist on it. Sometimes they have to just grab something out of the tackle box and play.
Scroll down to the bottom pages for Deck E. The other decks are not under consideration for changes at this time.
Being that they were built in Italy, wouldn't Taksin be better represented by Bande Nere (14m longer, 1m wider) or Scipione Africano (right beam, 11m shorter)?

I went with De Ruyter because it is about the same size and has one funnel which is what Taksin has. The two ships you propose have two funnels which to me is a fairly prominent visual cue. But if you want one of the Italian cruisers that is okay with me. None of them are very close. Which one do you want?

Ruyter.
Single funnel, basic scheme. Italian cruisees are visually distinctive, shouldnt be expecting a proxy to need repainting unless there is signifucant reason to do so. Also class limit 1 means DR is a bit easier to get a spare for
