First impression is Meteor is a point or 2 overcosted.
Not really sure how I feel about Myrt to be frank, I'm curious to try it out for sure, but not too keen on carrier overstack and its possible effect on placement combined with Shadowing.

One mitigating factor is that it's classed as a fighter so can't benefit from escort

Yes but Expert Dogfighter and Advanced Fighter will work against it, however Interceptor won't. The Myrt requires you to rethink the air deployment phase a bit and question your established tendencies. It was a lot of fun to playtest.
Interceptor is pretty much a non SA in my experience. One of the cases for overstack was allowing the ijn to match placement with the us without relying on weak ghost squads and rufes.
I'll be able to tell more after using in conjunction with everything else but I like the quirkiness of Myrt. I guess it's unusual to cost but like all the others I will gradually go through/compare and alter if needed.
Meteor might a 45 year date for me as it came in at the end of 44 and to keep other allied fighters from being overlooked too early.
"That's right son, join the navy. Get behind a bloody big gun and knock the hell out of somebody"
"We went out, got our arses kicked, then came back again"
The Myrt is a wierd plane. I like the weird stuff. A zero AA fighter that prevents Interceptor. Also more vulnerable to the Advanced Fighters; this makes sense, the later-war planes are more likely to have the performance to catch a Myrt.
I'm mixed with the Meteor. Glad that the Allies have their own jet now, and the Brits have another late-war fighter. I'm still unsure about jets in a naval game ending in 1945.
