Met an elderly veteran the other day at Walmart who was wearing a rather fascinating navy ball-cap. It had USN retired on the front but upon the sides were the names of the ships he was on, USS Enterprise CV-6, USS Ticonderoga CV-14, a few more but he also had USS Enterprise CVN-65. He told me he watched from the flight deck as the Enterprise sailed back into Pearl Harbor on December 8th and saw the destruction of the Pacific Fleet. It was interesting listening to him about his 30 years in the service. An interesting shopping experience…
