I recently had a game with a work colleague. This was our second game teaching ourselves the rules. While I did plenty of repaints over previous years, I never managed to play a game. I now have a fairly regular playing partner so will be able to get a few more games this year. It was a bit of a scratch game with four aircraft each, a number of my repaints getting a run. I took the Japanese and they were all shot down in spite of shooting down one in return and dealing out a bit of damage as well. The large table (table tennis table - 9' x 5') made for plenty of room to manoeuvre.
The final carnage; the Ki-44 had nowhere to run, in spite of the large table.
Thanks for the photo-AAR report. Nice to see AAAF aircraft on the table. Especially nice to see the Boomerang flying, and the repaint of the Tony. The Tony paint job is almost exactly what I did with my 1/72 scale Tony back in the 1960s. That was a fun paint job...
