I buy a lot of my Axis and Allies miniatures via Historical Board Gaming and I see they have the Avro Anson on their new items page. I'm surprised there's no card for this aircraft yet. Hopefully, maybe we'll see it in the projected Forumini deck H. In the meantime, I created this card for my collection. I found an Aircraft SA: Overland Operations but re-worded it to represent this units maritime recon it performed during WWII for RAF Costal Command. The Anson eventually became a trainer. It would be interesting to see some sort of SA to represent that fact. I couldn't come up with anything. Happy July 4th everyone!

History:
The Avro Anson is a British twin-engined, multi-role aircraft. Large
numbers of the type served in a variety of roles for the (RAF), FAA),
(RCAF), RAAF and numerous other air forces before, during, and
after WWII. After the outbreak of the 2nd WW the Anson was soon
found to have become obsolete in front line combat roles. Its role
was then switched to that of a trainer and became the mainstay of
the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan. The type continued to
be used in this role throughout and after the conflict, remaining in
RAF service as a trainer and communications aircraft until June 1968.
